How Photobooth Studio Began

From one booth at one wedding to events across British Columbia. Here’s how it happened.

Chapter one · Where it started

It Started at One Wedding in Surrey

Photobooth Studio started with one open air photo booth at a friend's wedding in Surrey, BC.

The booth worked well, but that's not what guests talked about the next day. They talked about the person running it: the one who kept the line moving, handed out prints, got shy relatives to jump in and made sure nobody waited too long.

That night, Shivam realized something simple: a photo booth on its own is just equipment. The service around it is what makes the night.

Chapter two · The idea

A Booth in the Corner Is Furniture

Most photo booth rentals are dropped off, plugged in and left in a corner. Guests have to figure it out on their own, lines get messy, and prints jam with no one around to help.

Shivam wanted to do it differently. So from day one, every booth we rent comes with a trained attendant who arrives early, runs the booth all night and packs up quietly after the last photo.

Chapter three · Growing across BC

From One Booth to Events Across British Columbia

Word spread through weddings, friends and families. One booking led to the next, from Surrey to Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and Langley, and then to Victoria, Kelowna and Whistler.

As we grew, we added more ways for guests to have fun:

  • 360 Video Booth: slow-motion videos for social media
  • Keychain Photo Booth: photos turned into keepsakes

Chapter four · Today

Still Small on Purpose

We could book more events every weekend, but we don't. We take a maximum of three events per weekend, so every client gets our full attention.

  • The person who quotes your event is the person you talk to the week of your event.
  • We pack the van the night before.
  • We arrive 90 minutes early, long before guests show up.
  • We stay until the last photo, then pack up quietly.

Meet Shivam, Founder of Photobooth Studio

Shivam started Photobooth Studio after seeing how much the right service changes a photo booth experience. What began as one booth at a friend’s wedding in Surrey is now a trusted photo booth rental company for weddings, corporate events and celebrations across BC.
Shivam still keeps the business small on purpose, and personally makes sure every booking gets clear communication, an early setup and an attendant who treats your guests like family.

Clear Written Quotes & Flat Pricing

One price covers delivery, setup, the full event, teardown and your online gallery. If there’s a travel fee, we tell you upfront. No surprises.

We design your print

We create a custom template for your event, with two rounds of revisions included.

We run the night

Your attendant arrives 90 minutes early, runs the booth all night and packs up after. Your gallery goes live before guests go home.
